"Nerd" that I am, I am skilled in using online tools. I'm sure there's one that will work for you! I've done coaching on the phone, by skype (with and without video), through Adobe Connect, GoToMeeting, and FaceTime (Apple products). I find that video connections are best so we can see each other's nonverbal communication.
In addition to those tools for one-on-one (or group) communication, I use a variety of tools to stay connected depending on your personal goals and preferences. Some tools I've used include:
- MealLogger (picture based food journaling)
- Fit Bit
- Dropbox - to send videos and other visual tools back and forth
Wherever you are, there's a way to meet your goals that works for you. That's the key: that it works for you.
I am also available through PopExpert.com if you prefer.
Health laws restrict the nutrition-related topics I am able to offer with distance coaching for those outside of Oregon. That means I am unable to provide "nutrition therapy."
Consumer Note: Whenever engaging in distance services, remember that medical treatment and therapy cannot be provided without state licensure. This protects bot you and them. Don't be afraid to inquire about the credentials and license of anyone from whom you receive online services.
